Before anything gets built

How the work starts

We ask every leadership team we meet what its AI investment has returned, and most cannot answer with a number. Our last issue described the AI-Native Enterprise, the way we run our own company of 15 people. This one shows how we start on that question with a leadership team: two examples, each driving your outcomes with a date on it, and an essay on why a faster motor was not the payoff. We hope it inspires your next move, and we are glad to help along the way.

AI-Native SAFe, run in your organisation

Your own people run one AI‑Native ART: people lead on outcomes, agents do the output, every key result read against a baseline you agreed. Five steps you can check, at a fixed price, with a signed plan for when each of our roles becomes yours.

AI-Native Value in 45 Days

Your leaders agree where AI should go. Your own people redesign one real workflow and run it in your production by day 45, measured against a number chosen before anything was built.

A lesson from electrification

Don’t automate the line shaft

When factories electrified, motors replaced steam engines and productivity barely moved. The payoff came a generation later, when a motor on every machine let factories be laid out around the work. Our advisor Steve Adolph asks: where are the line shafts in your operating model?

At a glance

  1. 1

    Proof in 45 days

Your own team, with us alongside, puts one real workflow into production and measures it.

  2. 2

    Carried on by your people

Then we set up the ways of working with your leaders, so your people carry the work on without us.

  3. 3

    Measured by what changed

We write down one number about the people you serve, in your words, before anything is built, and read it again at the end, whichever way it has moved.
